A Brief Introduction about our consulting CTO:
Mr. Nitin Kaulavkar is currently an independent consultant in the field of product design/engineering, data analytics, web-scale engineering and leadership/culture crafting.
In his last role at Walmart, Nitin was the Worldwide Engineering lead for omnichannel competitive intelligence for Walmart.com, stores, and international properties. The work involved building large-scale, global and resilient platforms for : data collection, organization, and serving for everything related to competitive signals and providing insights on around customer demands and our/competitive demand positioning for Walmart applications.
Prior to that Nitin was responsible for building, managing and owning Walmart Rx/Pharmacy web/mobile platform involving strict HIPPA compliance as well as strictest user identification/authentication mechanisms. Walmart ePharmacy was one of the top 3 pharmacies by revenue and transactions. The work involved building secure desktop and mobile experiences/flows and integrating/working with variety of security/penetration control protocols and products so that highest level of security/access is maintained.
Nitin is passionate about building teams and products from scratch that solve Walmart scale problems for the customers and help them save money to live better. He joined Walmart as a software architect and is continuing as an engineering leader designing, building, and managing web-scale solutions to complex problems in the retail space including customer experience both on desktop and mobiles, Pharmacy, Customer account, Identity and Access Management, Cloud security platform, API gateway/Cloud Sentry system, Walmart Cloud platform (Walmart internal cloud/PaaS products).
Nitin oversaw the team that engineered giga-scale programmatic/API based Identify and Access Management platform for the entire Walmart properties globally, e-commerce as well as stores. The involved working with Walmart wide security policies and infrastructure for connecting internal and external users and applications programmatically for web, thick applications and mobile apps.
Nitin has TOGAF/OpenGroup certification as Master Technologists/Enterprise Architect while at HP and was the lead architect for Govt of India's ambitious UID Aadhar Biometric enrollment and authentication system from HP Consortium. Prior to that Nitin has worked with Motorola for building CDMA/PDCLT telecom software and testing platforms.
Nitin studied B.E. (Shivaji University) and M.Tech.(IIT Bombay) both in Computer Science and Engineering.
